Job Summary:

This position will work within the ALM First ALM Strategy Group (ASG) and will report to the Director of the ALM Strategy Group. The candidate will design, build, and maintain data pipelines; ensure reporting accuracy, reliability, and increase performance of workflows. You will work closely with partners in other areas of the business such as investment management, financial advisory services, client services, accounting and operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.


• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and table structures to support reporting and analytics


• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high system reliability and accuracy


• Partner with financial analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions


• Build datasets, views, and models that support financial reporting, forecasting, and operational analytics


• Write efficient, maintainable code in SQL, Python and VBA


• Implement data quality checks, validation routines, and controls to ensure integrity of reporting platform

Qualifications:

• 0-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in asset management, banking, or related field


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience translating business requirements into technical language.


• Strong proficiency in SQL (query development, optimization, schema design). Solid understanding of relational databases, table structures and performance optimization techniques. 


• Knowledge of tools commonly used in data analysis for automation and data processing is required (VBA or Python)


• Knowledge of data visualization tools commonly used in data analysis a plus (Tableau, Power BI)

Minimum Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record with a concentration in finance, economics, mathematics, information systems, data analytics or other related quantitative/analytical discipline preferred.
