Job Description
Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established organization in the insurance industry, to identify an experienced Operations Project & Audit Manager. This individual will play a key role in overseeing operational initiatives, driving project execution, and supporting audit functions across the business. This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of operational projects, including defining scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and deadlines
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, delegating responsibilities and monitoring progress
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing risks, changes, and overall project status
- Maintain thorough documentation including reports, timelines, and post-project evaluations
- Oversee departmental audit processes, including planning, execution, and follow-up activities
- Assess internal controls, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements
- Prepare detailed audit findings and present insights to leadership
- Track remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of audit-related issues
- Support testing initiatives to validate system functionality and operational workflows
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and drive efficiency improvements
- Contribute to additional projects and initiatives as business needs evolve
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or audit-related roles
- Prior experience within the life insurance, annuities, or related financial services industry required
- Strong understanding of operational processes, controls, and regulatory considerations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
