AVP Financial Accounting

Are you a seasoned accounting professional with financial institution experience and ready to make an impact in a leadership role? HPCU is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Financial Accounting to lead the accounting function and oversee financial reporting and controls in a dynamic and growing credit union.

This is a role for someone who already works in accounting within a credit union or bank and someone who knows financial institution accounting inside and out and is looking to bring that expertise to a new organization.

Reporting to the Vice President/CAO, the AVP will bring a strong financial background and demonstrate the ability to interpret financial results, assess risk and support budgeting. This role plays a key part in financial strategy, analysis, and long-term planning by identifying data trends and foreseeing future changes within financial services while assiting with the budgeting and foreasting. This individual will service as a backup for key compliance and fraud monitoring, ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, NCUA regulatioins and NACHA rules.

A minimum of five years of similar or related experience in accounting and operation is required, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting is a plus. Exceptional Microsoft Excel expertise is needed to support the credit union’s internal applications.
