Job Summary

The Warehouse Utility position is versatile, dependable, and willing to perform a variety of tasks within the warehouse environment, including basic building and equipment maintenance, filling in for other warehouse operators, and working in shipping & receiving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Building and Equipment Maintenance:

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and repairing minor damages within the warehouse facility.
2. Inspect equipment regularly and report any malfunctions or issues to management.
3. Assist in maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment by promptly addressing any potential hazards.

Fill-in Duties

1. Serve as a backup for other warehouse operators during absences or peak periods.
2. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move products and materials as needed.
3. Assist in inventory management tasks including counting, labeling, and organizing stock.

Shipping & Receiving

1. Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
2. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to customer orders.
3. Coordinate with carriers for efficient loading and unloading of shipments.

Safety & Quality Compliance

1. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
2. Adhere to quality control standards to maintain the integrity of our products during handling and storage.

Position Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in a Warehouse preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of building maintenance techniques and equipment operation.
4. Operate a forklift.
5. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively independently and as a team.
8. Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management.
9. Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
