Endoscopy RN Job Details

• Location: Richardson, Texas 75082 (Dallas area healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: GI Lab / Endoscopy Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
• Assignment Start Date: September 22, 2025
• Assignment End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 17:00)
• Total Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: 1 day per week and one weekend (Saturday & Sunday) per contract
• Unit Details: 3 procedure rooms; patient populations include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,620 - $1,660 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; 3 years of GI Lab/Endoscopy nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Strong clinical skills in conscious sedation, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, pre/post procedure care, specimen handling/labeling, and dysrhythmia management

Endoscopy RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist with endoscopic procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation; recover patients post-procedure
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias during GI procedures
• Accurately handle and label patient specimens
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
