We are looking for a skilled to join our team, focusing on monitoring and control solutions for DC power systems in Open Compute Data Center Systems . You will be responsible for developing innovative software solutions, operating in a Linux application environment , that enhance the reliability and efficiency of power management systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications that support OCP compliant DC power systems ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and system designers, to gather requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for effective communication between system components.
- Utilize programming languages such as Go and C/C++ to customize software capabilities.
- Monitor and analyze system performance using tools like Grafana and Prometheus, optimizing operational efficiency.
- Implement CI/CD practices and manage deployment automation using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed to protect data and system integrity.
- Work on embedded systems programming to enhance control and management of DC power hardware.
- Engage in research and development for cloud integration to leverage scalable solutions.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and documentation of software applications to maintain high-quality standards.
- Analyze system performance data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DC power systems in Open Compute Data Center Systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Linux.
- Proven experience in software development, preferably in the context of DC power systems or data centers.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT).
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for effective data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Passion for innovation in power management and sustainability.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Go and C/C++ .
- Strong understanding of DC power systems and experience with Open Compute Project standards.
- Familiarity with control algorithms and energy monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and their applications in monitoring and control.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git .
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with Python for building tools to assist in development and test.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps’ board feature to track project tasks.
- Strong data analysis skills to derive insights from power system performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
