Associate Attorney - General Liability - Insurance Defense

- Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Annual billable amount of 1950 hours required
- Regularly representing clients in court, at arbitrations and in depositions
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Expert witness retention and collaboration
- Trial preparation and attendance
- Some travel may be required
- 3+ years’ experience in Insurance Defense, First Party Insurance experience a plus
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of TX, other states a plus but not required
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
- Must respond promptly to e-mail and phone inquiries
- Excellent client skills and telephone manner
