Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Develop real-time embedded software solutions in C/C++ for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems, simulation environments, and real-time operating systems. Support software development, integration, and testing activities within a cross-functional engineering environment focused on defense and aerospace applications.

- Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of work-related experience
- Proficiency in C/C++ (C++11 or higher)
- Previous experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) working with a Real-Time Operating Environment
- Proficiency in Linux systems and real-time operating environments
- Experience with simulation systems
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Preferred Skills
- Ada experience
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Cross-functional or cross-disciplinary team experience
- Git, GitLab, and JIRA experience
- Agile (Scrum) experience
- Job Duties & Functions
- Develop real-time embedded software in C/C++ for HWIL and simulation-based systems
- Integrate software solutions into Linux-based real-time operating environments
- Support design, development, and execution of simulation and test environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement system requirements
- Debug, test, and validate embedded software performance in real-time systems
- Maintain software version control using established configuration management tools
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and execution
- Ensure compliance with defense and aerospace software standards and requirements
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- 100% On-site full-time work in a defense aerospace engineering environment
- Must be able to work a 4/10A 1st shift schedule
