Registered Nurse Job Details – Bangor, ME

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel RN contract)
• Location: Bangor, ME 04401 (Maine nursing jobs)
• Unit: MDS Coordinator (Minimum Data Set Coordinator)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/11/2025 – End: 11/10/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800 - $1840

Qualifications – Charge RN / MDS Coordinator

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact state (Maine RN jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
• Advanced knowledge of the MDS (Minimum Data Set) process
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Traveler must reside 50+ miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities – MDS Coordinator Nurse

• Coordinate and complete accurate, timely interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans per CMS RAI Manual Regulations
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare laws, regulations, and facility policies
• Report patient condition changes identified through MDS Assessment to appropriate staff
• Educate and orient direct care associates and staff on the MDS process
• Review and validate all assessments for accuracy and timely submission
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and facility meetings
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards
• Serve as a clinical resource for patient care planning and documentation
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and a positive, patient-focused attitude
• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
