As a Line Cook at Cowboy Chicken, you will be an essential member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking our mouthwatering wood-fired rotisserie chicken and wholesome dishes. Your culinary expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality meals will play a significant role in providing our guests with an authentic dining experience that captures the flavors of the American Southwest.
Key responsibilities include:
- Food preparation: Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare and assemble menu items, with a primary focus on our signature wood-fired rotisserie chicken. This includes marinating, seasoning, and ensuring that the chicken is cooked to perfection over an open flame.
- Cooking and grilling: Execute the cooking and grilling of various dishes following Cowboy Chicken's recipes and guidelines. Ensure that all food is prepared to meet our high-quality standards and taste expectations.
- Timely execution: Work efficiently during busy service hours to ensure that orders are prepared and cooked promptly, maintaining smooth kitchen operations and delivering timely meals to our guests.
- Ingredient management: Assist in organizing and maintaining the inventory of ingredients, ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available for food preparation.
- Quality control: Monitor the quality of food products at each stage of preparation, ensuring that they meet Cowboy Chicken's standards for taste, appearance, and freshness.
- Kitchen organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food stations, equipment, and storage areas. Adhere to proper sanitation practices and food safety guidelines.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and teamwork during the preparation and cooking process.
- Adaptability: Be willing to assist in various areas of the kitchen as needed, adapting to the changing demands of restaurant operations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as Cowboy Chicken's policies and procedures.
Qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar food preparation role is preferred, but we welcome individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to learn.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
