Customer Finance Analyst
:
Evaluate all financial opportunities for Covetrus' independent, regional, and specialty customers to include RFPs (Request for Pricing) and Bids. These evaluations include pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and other Finance teams to correctly position the Covetrus product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with the organization's product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements. Projects volume and profit growth impact of pricing changes, individual promotions, and customer adherence to contract compliance. Own, administer, and further develop the cross-functional RFP and Bid processes, thus driving efficient volume growth. SUMMARY Reporting to the Senior Director of Customer Finance, this role will focus on the delivery and execution of best-in-class pricing proposals and execution across the Covetrus portfolio. It will partner with and support key internal customers across Sales, Operations, and Finance functions. Key areas of focus for the smaller, independent, regional, and specialty customers will include the Offering Structure, Negotiation Approach, Business Terms, Customer Financials, Analytics, and owning established processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In order to be successful in this role, the Customer Finance Analyst will need to be adept in driving projects and initiatives in the following areas: - Offering Structure - Standardize customer-facing approach and value quantification integrating offerings from across North American service lines. Develop offering framework to maintain a right sized incentive curve.
- Negotiation Approach - Partner with Sales and Contracting teams to build out any negotiation framework including current, starting, and floor offer parameters.
- Business Terms - Incorporate standardized business terms into pricing and negotiation framework to ensure appropriate profitability and value tradeoffs.
- Customer Financials - Incorporate customer, channel, and portfolio economics to ensure appropriate and comparable financial return for Commercial opportunities.
- Pricing Analytics - Partner with analytic teams to leverage a suite of analyses, analytic dashboards, and key metrics that track and drive business results (profit growth, volumes, mix, win rates, etc.).
- Pricing Process and Tools - Build out consistent and impactful process and tools that improve and accelerate decision making across portfolio, channel, and customer pricing.
- Other team projects as identified or required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience - Quantitative undergraduate degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, Math etc.)
- 1 - 2+ years of experience within a matrixed Fortune 500 company
- 1 - 2+ years of advanced pricing | analytics | and / or product management experience within one or more Fortune 500 organizations

- Up to 5% travel possible depending on work and opportunity.
Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.
