JOB SUMMARY:
The Surgery Coordinator's role is both crucial and fun. It is your job to tell patients about our incredible plastic surgeons and team. As one of the nation's leading aesthetic medical providers, Fort Worth Plastic Surgery & MedSpa sets the gold standard for superior patient care and beautiful results. The Surgery Coordinator responds to all inquiries for surgical procedures and explains the ins and outs of plastic surgery to interested patients. They are responsible for meeting with all cosmetic and medical consultations to plan their surgery, financing, or insurance, as well as pre- and post-operative care.
This individual represents our practice and physicians in highest quality and ensures that patients feel welcome. You will schedule all patient appointments in a professional, accurate, and courteous manner, monitor and modify physician schedules as necessary to maximize efficiency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Two years successful, high-end sales experience preferred.
• Two years experience in medical aesthetic practice a plus.
• Medical Assistant is a plus.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to coordinate and sell high-end cosmetic surgery procedures to all patients.
• Ability to coordinate and schedule medical surgeries.
• Ability to credential plastic surgeons, facilities, and fully explain procedures including pre- and post-op care instructions.
• Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate comfortably on the computer and Microsoft Office applications.
• Additional training provided for company specific computer programs such as EMR, etc.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns and can educate them on the details of the surgical and recovery process.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate all aspects of cosmetic surgery scheduling.
• Team player, ready to help out whenever/wherever needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordination and Scheduling:

• Conducts daily review of schedule status for the remainder of the week and the following two weeks.
• Schedules all appointments with the appropriate physician.
• Confirms appointments daily.
• Cancels and reschedules appointments as necessary; conducts follow-up on consultations and no-shows.
• Meet with patients pre-op to review surgery, answer all questions, and collect final balance.
• Monitors and modifies the physicians’ daily schedules.
• Coordinate patient financial obligations and collections prior to procedure.
• Ensure patient accuracy in EMR prior to appointment.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up with patient through the patient experience of inquiry through post-operative care.

Miscellaneous Duties:

• Assists in general office duties and other duties as required.
• Assists as a chaperone in patient consultations as needed.
• Coordinate physician schedule time to hit monthly goals and maintain quality work/life balance for physicians.
