- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
- Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
- Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
- This role is an on campus, in-person position.

- The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
Job Summary:
The Postdoctoral Research Associate (Post Doc) in Science Education works with the Director of the Andrews Institute for Research in Mathematics & Science Education. The Postdoctoral Research Associate position serves to enable an individual with a Ph.D. to continue training as a researcher and gain skills and experience that will prepare them for their research career in academia or elsewhere. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will receive mentorship, research support, and a travel stipend to advance the Associate's research agenda. The position is for one year, with the possibility of a second year depending on satisfactory performance and available funding.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Assists a faculty member in specific research. 2. Teaches one class per semester, as needed. 3. Collects, compiles and analyzes data. 4. Designs surveys. 5. Participates in research planning. 6. Writes papers. 7. Presents results at seminars and professional meetings. 8. Supervises research assistants. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
