HVAC Technician - Level I
Join a dedicated team in Abilene, TX as a Critical Systems Technician I, HVAC, supporting the essential operations of a data center environment. Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment such as chillers, boilers, heaters, cooling towers, air distribution systems, and water pumps under direct supervision.
- Maintain assigned equipment in clean, efficient, and first-class operating condition in accordance with industry standards, codes, and laws.
- Support routine and emergency maintenance activities as directed.
- Strive for continual improvement of technical skills through hands-on experience and trade literature.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and excel in the HVAC industry.
- Participate in after-hours assignments as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of HVAC service experience required; 2 years preferred.
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles.
- Working knowledge of basic electricity as it applies to HVAC systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
