Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Austin, TX, supporting large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for an experienced construction project management professional who can lead complex projects, build strong client and subcontractor relationships, and drive successful delivery across safety, budget, schedule, quality, and contract performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously from preconstruction through final closeout.
- Lead project teams in partnership with field leadership to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are achieved.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost control, contracts, change management, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, milestones, risks, and progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, project documentation, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project team members.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage large commercial construction projects through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Lead project schedules, budgets, forecasting, cost controls, contracts, change orders, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate subcontractor procurement, buyout, performance, documentation, RFIs, submittals, and project meetings.
- Champion jobsite safety, quality standards, OSHA compliance, and proactive project risk mitigation.

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Experience managing projects valued at $50M+ preferred for this senior-level role.
- 2+ years of leadership or people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, procurement, and change management.
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, and shop drawings.
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, client relationship, and team development skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Design-Build and CMAR delivery methods.
- Preconstruction and estimating experience.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other construction management platforms.
- Background managing complex commercial, residential, office, or mixed-use construction projects.
- Proven ability to mentor Project Managers and develop high-performing project teams.
