Pay and Benefits

• Excellent compensation salary plus commission based on experience
• Sign-on bonus for technicians who have a Commercial Certification or who pass required tests

As a Fertilizer Technician , you will meet with residential and commercial customers to provide outstanding lawn care service.

$40,000 - $60,000 yearly

• Spot concerns, recommend solutions, and ensure the safe and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our customers’ lawns
• Work with the General Manager to optimize production efficiency and ensure the highest level of customer service with an effective schedule and routes
• Apply fertilizers, pest, disease, and weed controls to turf according to schedule and label instructions
• Organize equipment and products in your assigned company vehicle
• Assist in generating sales to current and new customers through contact on the service route
• Measure the lawns of potential customers to provide accurate cost estimates
• Support others in obtaining lawn care licensure by providing one-on-one coaching and instruction

• Minimum of two years (application seasons) of employment as a commercial applicator, may accept one year (application season) of employment with a commercial applicator plus equivalent education
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (or ability to obtain) in categories CORE and 3A (Turfgrass Pest Management)
• Experience sod installation and estimation
• Experience with sprinkler systems and repair is a major PLUS
• Experience with land scape services and estimation is a major PLUS
• Ability to be highly functional in a team environment, as well as able to perform with minimal supervision and direction
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle
