Groundskeeper
MalaceHR is seeking a reliable and motivated Groundskeeper to support day-to-day grounds and landscaping operations at a college campus in Prairie View, TX. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and visually appealing outdoor environment for students, faculty, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can operate landscaping equipment safely, and works well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
Maintain lawns, landscaped areas, walkways, and common outdoor spaces
Remove debris, leaves, and litter from campus grounds
Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, and leaf removal
Operate and maintain grounds equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
Report safety hazards, damaged landscaping, or equipment issues to supervision
Support special campus events with setup and cleanup as needed
Follow all safety procedures and campus guidelines
Qualifications
Prior groundskeeping or landscaping experience preferred
Zero-turn mower experience preferred but not required
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining campus appearance
