How you will contribute in this role

 The Finance & Accounting department at Asure offers a dynamic work environment that welcomes innovative ideas, rewards hard work and commitment, exposes its members to growth opportunities, and encourages evolution of individuals, methodologies, processes, and systems. The Revenue Accountant will be an integral member of the corporate accounting team addressing established deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including maintaining the revenue module, supporting monthly close, assisting with year-end audit, SOX Control Audits.

• Review sales arrangements to ensure revenue operations is in accordance with the Company’s policy and revenue standard.


• Perform revenue recognition analysis in accordance with company policy and current authoritative guidance.


• Review VSOE & BESP reallocations on a contract level


• Responsible for revenue month end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and month end reconciliations.


• Assist in calculating bookings and backlog listings.


• Calculate and book monthly revenue accruals.


• Coordinate with other departments such as Sales Ops, Tax and Finance to provide detailed revenue reporting requests as needed.


• Assist in calculating the Company’s VSOE & BESP calculations


• Assist in calculating monthly rev rec on professional services projects.

• Assist with analysis, adoption, and implementation of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers


• Key contact for Contracts, Sales, and Professional Services Teams for guidance on revenue related questions during contract negotiations


• Maintain and update internal control and process documentation for quote to cash.


• Assist in the accounting research and documentation and creation of internal policies and procedures.


• Coordinate audit requests for both internal and external audit as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting


• 3-5 years prior relevant experience in accounting gained in industry and/or public accounting.


• Accounting experience in a software company preferred.


• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, in particular an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers preferred


• Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is preferred


• Excellent organization skills and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple, competing tasks simultaneously.


• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications


• Experience/familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and documentation

Compensation

The base range for this role is $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year depending upon level of experience.
