ABOUT GLEN MEADOWS BAPTIST CHURCH

Glen Meadows Baptist Church is a multi-generational, gospel-centered church, of over 1,200, located in the heart of San Angelo, Texas. We’re a family of believers from all walks of life, united by our pursuit of Jesus and our desire to experience and share the new kind of life He offers. Everything we do is centered on helping people discover their God-given purpose and grow toward their full potential in Him. Over the past year, God has blessed our church with incredible growth, our average weekly attendance has increased by 250 people, and we’ve celebrated more than 100 baptisms in the past 12 months. It’s a season of momentum, joy, and transformation, and we believe He’s just getting started.

We’re a loving, welcoming church family that places a high emphasis on prayer, specifically, Scripture-fed, Spirit-led, worship-based prayer, and on deep discipleship that forms mature, reproducing followers of Christ. Through ministries for kids, students, adults, and families, we’re building a pipeline of disciple-makers who impact our city, schools, and workplaces with the hope of the gospel.

We are currently launching a long-term vision called Project 145, inspired by Psalm 145:4: “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” By our 45th anniversary in 2032, we believe God is calling us to raise up 500 disciple-making leaders, equip 2,000 disciples, and spark 145,000 gospel conversations across the Concho Valley and beyond. To support this vision, we are building a new 90,000-square-foot facility…an exciting step that reflects the growth and energy of our church! ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

At Glen Meadows Baptist Church, worship isn’t just a part of what we do, it’s at the heart of who we are. We are prayerfully seeking a Worship Minister who will help us continue cultivating a culture of Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship that draws our people closer to God and equips them to live on mission.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a leader who embodies Wisdom, Stewardship, Excellence, and Communication, a true team player who thrives in a high-trust, high-accountability culture. Our staff is deeply unified, and we believe ministry happens best when we lead together in humility, honesty, and joy. The ideal candidate will be someone with a deep commitment to prayer, discipleship, and the development of leaders, someone who not only leads worship with excellence but also multiplies worshipers throughout the church and beyond.

You must have the ability to lead across multiple styles of worship with authenticity and skill. Glen Meadows offers three Sunday services: one is a traditional country (Texas swing) style service, and the other two feature modern worship. (You can find videos of our services HERE .) We’re looking for a leader who can embrace and lead both with equal passion and excellence, uniting the church under one heart of worship.

The Role

The Worship Minister will be responsible for leading our congregation in transformative worship experiences, shepherding a team of musicians, vocalists, and technicians, and developing leaders who serve with excellence and humility. This role includes oversight of the Production Director and collaboration with ministry leaders for youth and children’s worship environments.

We believe worship starts with leading yourself—maintaining a vibrant personal walk with Christ through prayer, Scripture, and worship. From that foundation, you will help cultivate a culture where worship is not performance, but participation; not production, but presence. You’ll help us build teams that reflect our worship team values:

Qualifications

• A deep and growing love for Jesus, and a clear calling to lead His people in worship.
• 3–5 years of experience leading worship in a church setting (experience in a 500+ attendance church preferred but not required).
• Demonstrated ability to lead both modern and traditional/country-style worship.
• Strong musical ability (vocal and instrumental) and proficiency in worship technology (Planning Center, ProPresenter, MultiTracks, audio/video systems).
• A proven ability to recruit, train, and develop musicians, vocalists, and production team members.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A humble, team-oriented spirit that thrives in collaboration.
• Willingness to affirm the Baptist Faith & Message (2000).
• Formal theological or musical training is helpful but not required.
