Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods is seeking an innovative and motivated Produce Manager to lead our Produce Department and help deliver the outstanding shopping experience our customers have come to expect.
As Produce Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, maintaining exceptional merchandising standards, and ensuring the freshest, highest-quality products are available every day.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a strong Produce team with a focus on customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, engagement, and accountability.
- Provide regular coaching and performance feedback in accordance with company standards.
- Manage labour scheduling to maintain productivity while meeting budget and business demands.
- Take an entrepreneurial approach by identifying opportunities to improve department performance, merchandising, and sales.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory to maximize freshness, minimize waste, reduce out-of-stocks, and optimize sales.
- Ensure attractive product presentation and maintain high merchandising standards throughout the department.
- Oversee department operations to achieve sales, profitability, and operational goals.
- Promote and uphold Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods' mission, core values, and commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Provide customers with knowledgeable advice on produce selection, quality, storage, and preparation.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Produce Department management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of produce merchandising, inventory management, and department operations.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Extensive knowledge of fresh produce and quality standards.
- Previous food handling experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
