About the Role

The Maintenance Mechanic (MMM) is an hourly position reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment and performing general maintenance supporting plant operations and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on mechanical and production/process equipment and systems

  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities

  • Perform mechanical welding, sheet metal work, and basic automotive repair

  • Support incidental pipefitting and electrical work related to mechanical systems

  • Use engineering drawings, schematics, sketches, and work instructions to complete tasks

  • Perform work using SAP-generated work orders

  • Prepare work areas before and after maintenance activities

  • Rig ladders and scaffolding as needed

  • Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Use precision tools and measuring instruments to produce parts within tolerance

  • Maintain storeroom parts inventory and identify stocking needs

  • Support housekeeping, cleanup, and equipment area maintenance

  • Participate in TPM, Kaizen, safety, and quality programs

  • Comply with safety rules, JHAs, and environmental requirements

  • Complete required records, reports, and documentation

  • Support cross-training, relief assignments, and additional duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 4 years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment

  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US

  • Must be drug and alcohol free

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance preferred but not required

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team environment

  • Strong customer service mindset (internal and external)

  • Basic mathematical skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and training

Computer Skills

  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge

  • Ability to use SAP for work orders, data entry, and reporting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to work overtime as needed

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs

  • Ability to lift and use hand dexterity for mechanical work

  • Ability to wear required PPE (including respirators/PAPR)
