Job Title: Buyer – Supply Chain & Vendor Management

Location Dallas, Texas | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $18.00–$20.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (business hours)

ROLE IMPACT
The Buyer supports daily purchasing operations to ensure consistent product availability and optimal inventory levels. This role directly impacts fill rates, cost control, and vendor performance by executing purchasing strategies, maintaining accurate data, and resolving supply chain issues efficiently. Success is measured by inventory accuracy, on-time order fulfillment, and strong vendor relationships.

• Execute purchasing strategies aligned with company policies and inventory management goals
• Manage purchase orders, including order placement, tracking, expediting, and delivery confirmation
• Maintain accurate product, vendor, and pricing data within purchasing systems
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock to maintain high service levels
• Review stock and usage reports to adjust purchasing decisions proactively
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and pricing variances with vendors
• Manage product returns, including obsolete and slow-moving inventory
• Communicate product updates, pricing changes, and vendor information to internal teams
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support supply continuity
• Partner with the Purchasing Manager to support negotiations on pricing, terms, and supply agreements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and internal departments to meet organizational goals

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory control experience
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and vendor relationships

Preferred Skills
• Experience with inventory management or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis
