Oracle Cloud Operate - Solution Architect

We are seeking a senior-level Solution Architect for a 12-month onsite engagement at Deloitte’s Austin, TX office. This USDC-based role is responsible for end-to-end Oracle Cloud Operate solution architecture, ensuring production stability, secure integrations, and disciplined incident/problem/change governance across functional and technical teams. The role operates within an Operate delivery model encompassing L2/L3 support, root-cause analysis, runbook ownership, and quarterly update readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own current and target-state architecture across Oracle Cloud (ERP/SCM as applicable), integrations, and data flows; set design standards and non-functional requirements.

• Act as escalation point for complex cross-module and integration production issues; lead root-cause analysis and recurrence prevention.

• Govern integration patterns and operational readiness (FBDI, APIs, OIC or middleware): monitoring, error handling, reprocessing, and resiliency.

• Lead production change and release planning (defects/minor enhancements), environment readiness, and cutover/validation steps.

• Drive Oracle quarterly update impact assessment and coordinate regression testing and production validation.

• Maintain and approve runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles; provide operational reporting on SLA performance, incident trends, and recurring issues.

• Mentor the support team and foster consistent delivery practices across functional and technical resources.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of Oracle experience (Oracle Cloud strongly preferred) with solution architecture ownership in a production/Operate (AMS) environment.

• Strong expertise in FBDI, REST/SOAP APIs, OIC/Middleware, OTBI, BI Publisher, Groovy, OCI, and VBCS.

• Proven delivery in ITIL-oriented support models (incident, problem, and change management) with strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE

• Prior Oracle Cloud AMS/Operate engagement experience.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira for ITSM workflows.

• OTBI, BI Publisher, and Smart View exposure.

• Reduced repeat P1/P2 incidents through RCA-driven fixes and improved monitoring.

• Standardized runbooks in place across key Oracle Cloud modules.
