Legal Assistant

Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys in active litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law, fluency in both English and Spanish , and the ability to handle litigation support responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct administrative and litigation support to attorneys

• Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence

• Maintain and organize case files and legal calendars

• Schedule client meetings, depositions, mediations, and hearings

• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and court personnel in both English and Spanish

• Track deadlines, court dates, and ensure timely filings

• Assist with trial preparation and document management

• Process incoming mail, discovery materials, and maintain accurate case notes

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of legal assistant experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation

• Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, especially in auto accidents, trucking, and workplace injury cases

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy office environment
