We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a parish organization in Dallas, Texas. This Long-term Contract position will oversee core accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and provide dependable reporting to church leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple accounts, coordinating banking activity, and using cloud-based accounting tools to keep financial information organized and current.
Responsibilities:• Oversee daily bookkeeping functions, including recording transactions and maintaining complete and accurate financial records.
• Process cash receipts and track collections to ensure funds are documented properly and posted in a timely manner.
• Prepare checks for payment and support accounts payable activities with careful attention to accuracy and approval requirements.
• Reconcile bank activity across multiple accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain balanced records.
• Generate regular financial reports for clergy and parish council to support visibility into the organization’s financial position.
• Coordinate with the bank on routine account matters and monitor activity across one banking relationship with several accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable responsibilities by tracking incoming payments and following up as needed.
• Utilize the Realm cloud-based system and bookkeeping software to maintain organized, accessible accounting data.
