Quality Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The candidate must have strong expertise in Core Java and J2EE‑based test automation to qualify for this role.

Rate Range: $58/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop automated test scripts using Core Java, J2EE, and modern automation frameworks to validate application functionality and performance.

• Execute end‑to‑end automated and functional test cycles while ensuring comprehensive coverage across modules and integrations.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution and improved application stability.

• Maintain reusable automation suites by refactoring code, optimizing test design, and adopting best practices for scalability.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Enhance automation capabilities by exploring new tools, improving frameworks, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• 8–10 years of experience in test automation, Core Java development, and quality engineering practices.

• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Core Java and J2EE technologies.

• Proven expertise in executing automation strategies, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring high‑quality software delivery through robust testing processes.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $60.00 per hour
