At the Prosper Centers, our mission is to provide expertise, support, and resources that expand access and opportunity for all to thrive. Through our Health Coverage Program, we help community members enroll in affordable health insurance via the federal Marketplace—improving access to preventive care, protecting against medical debt, and supporting overall well-being. We are hiring a team of temporary, on-site staff to support our work during the Open Enrollment season from November 1 to January 15.
Position Description
The Bilingual Client Support Specialist is a part of a team that serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking information and assistance with enrolling in affordable health insurance. Full-time and part-time positions available with daytime, evening, and weekend schedule options. No experience with health insurance is required. This seasonal role begins with paid training in late September and extends through December 15, 2025.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide on-site client assistance and support by phone and in person
- Answer client questions, share information, and schedule appointments
- Participate in phone banking campaign to previous clients
- Help determine client eligibility for Marketplace plans and financial assistance
- Enter client information accurately in the REDCap database
- Utilize RingCentral phone system to manage program incoming calls
- Serve multilingual clients using the language line
- Complete all specified paid trainings and Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) certification
- Protect client confidentiality and PII/PHI in compliance with HIPAA policies
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Ability to provide superior customer service by phone to clients with diverse identities and needs
- Ability to engage with under-served and under-represented populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and multi-task
- Willingness to embody Prosper core values of candor, collaboration, dignity, empowerment, and diversity
Compensation
$18.00
This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance. It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform.
