The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs across the organization. This role goes beyond coordination â it requires applying professional judgment to assess training needs, recommend solutions, and ensure programs meet compliance and business objectives. The Training Specialist partners with leaders, subject matter experts, and HR to strengthen the learning culture, optimize use of the Learning Management System (LMS), and provide analysis and insights that guide decision-making.

Training Program Support & Analysis
- Assess training needs through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and performance trends.
- Recommend program improvements and escalate learning gaps to leadership.
- Monitor compliance and certification requirements; proactively identify risks and corrective actions.
- Schedule and coordinate courses as required.
Â
LMS & Reporting Expertise
- Manage learning records and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Develop and deliver reports that provide leaders with actionable insights into training effectiveness and workforce readiness.
- Troubleshoot LMS issues, recommend system enhancements, and serve as a subject matter expert on training technology.
- Strategic Support & Continuous Improvement.
- Partner with leaders to align training programs with business objectives.
- Evaluate program effectiveness using metrics, surveys, and performance outcomes.
Recommend new methods, tools, and best practices to enhance employee development and engagement.

- Bachelor's degree in education, Business, Organizational Development, related field or a minimum of 3+ years of experience, preferably within a training, learning or similar profession.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to use data for decision-making.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.Â
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., SumTotal, Workday, Oracle).Â
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Project Management Certifications.
- 1-3 years' experience within a training program.
- Previous experience with an oilfield related company.
- Knowledge of training compliance and regulatory requirements in oil & gas is a plus.
- Experience with e-learning tools preferred.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and talk and hear.Â

- Lifting/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 5 to 10 lbs. daily. Must be able to use/wear applicable personal protective equipment which may include but is not limited to safety-toed foot wear (with ankle height support), back support belt, hearing protection, safety eye-wear with side shields, gloves and hard hat.Â
- May occasionally be required to wear approved/applicable respiratory protection equipment (respiratory protection guidelines would apply with regard to medical evaluation and fit testing of equipment).Â
- Frequent assent/decent of stairs/steps, especially at field locations. Must be able to respond quickly to an emergency situation.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, field locations may be at a high level whereby appropriate hearing protection may be required.Â
- Building AC/Heating systems is a typical "closed loop" system.Â
- Field locations may range in temperature of below zero (0) to above one hundred (100) degrees, depending upon time of year, with varying levels of humidity.Â
- Field locations may be dusty, wet, or muddy depending upon weather conditions.
