Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage perioperative nursing teams , ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement best practices for surgical procedures, infection control, and patient safety .
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize surgical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations .
- Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations for the perioperative team.
- Monitor surgical budgets, resource allocation, and operational efficiency .
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and surgical care.
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSN required, MSN preferred) .
- Certification: Active RN license; CNOR or NE-BC certification preferred .
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in perioperative nursing , with 3+ years in a leadership role .
- Skills: Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities .
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments .
