Cost & Trend Specialist, Project Controls
As a Cost and Trend Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing and controlling the cost and change management programs on Megaprojects. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing the Total Cost Management program, including cost management strategies, analyzing financial and cost engineering data, change management and working collaboratively with various departments to drive accurate, consistent reporting and analysis targeting cost reduction and efficiency initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to the overall profitability and competitiveness of our project and organization. This role is based full-time, onsite in Brookshire, Texas. Project Controls Team has multiple locations possible: Austin, TX; Sparks, NV; San Francisco, CA; Brookshire, TX; Robstown, TX What You'll Do Self-starter with the ability to prioritize competing prioritiesAdvanced Excel user (must be able to demonstrate the ability to read/create complex formulas and summarize dataUse PowerBI dashboards to report to executive management Create/maintain excel files/workbooks where in house systems are under developmentAssist in processing change orders/budget adjustments utilizing in-house cost management systemReview/audit invoices submitted from contractors and interface with in-house departments and third parties for invoicing and cost tracking purposesCoordinate with Project Manager, Project Team on tracking performance against budget and schedule, provide reportsUse data from procurement and cost management systems to maintain spend and drawdown curves What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 5 yrs + experience in cost management, budgeting, and forecast analysis, ideally in the complex industrial process industryStrong knowledge of cost management processes and cost structures on a large-scale EPC projectProficiency in financial modeling and cost analysis toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, in ambiguous environmentsAnalytical mindset with attention to detail Benefits
