The Team You Will Be Joining
You will be joining a highly specialized state organization dedicated to advancing cybersecurity operations, protecting sensitive systems, and supporting strategic technology initiatives that impact agencies and communities across Texas. Major Duties
- Perform advanced (senior-level) human resources management work with considerable latitude for independent judgment and decision-making
- Utilize CAPPS to manage HR transactions, personnel actions, reporting, and workforce administration activities
- Support workforce planning initiatives and provide recommendations on staffing strategies and organizational needs
- Advise leadership and management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Prepare and maintain confidential HR correspondence, documentation, and reports
- Assist with recruitment efforts, candidate evaluations, and hiring recommendations
- Monitor HR programs and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with applicable State of Texas HR policies and employment regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support workforce and operational goals
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 5–7 years of State of Texas human resources experience required
- Hands-on experience using CAPPS is required
- Strong understanding of State of Texas HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive personnel matters
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced professional environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred
Exciting Opportunity Details
- Rate: $57.00/hour
- Length of Engagement: Contract
- Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, standard business hours
- Location: Hybrid – 2 days onsite weekly in North/Central Austin, TX 78756
