Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Office Coordinator, you will perform administrative functions in support of the management and operations of the department. This includes interactions with staff, outside agencies, vendors, physicians, corporate/division staff as well as departments within the facility. You will handle office management, word processing, and maintain statistical records, and may also be tasked with Unit Clerk or Patient Care Technician responsibilities.

• You will answer the phones, distribute mail, and greet visitors.
• You will schedule and coordinate department meetings and events
• You will maintain department and/or committee meeting minutes, attendance records and other meeting documents.
• You will assist with payroll preparation
• You will organize and maintain statistical records for the emergency department
• You will keep department and employee files updated and available in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
• You will maintain time and attendance records for the department.
• You will perform tasks as a Patient Care Technician or Unit Clerk during periods of patient surges or staffing issues.

What qualifications you will need:

Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
