Risk Claims Analyst

: What to Expect Tesla's Global Risk Management and Insurance Team manages the company's corporate insurance, risk management and surety programs for both the automotive and energy components of the business. The Risk and Claims Analyst reports to the Senior Risk & Insurance Manager and will assist in contract review and negotiation, certificate issuance and the analysis and placement of corporate insurance. This is an evolving position affording the right candidate opportunities for career advancement into areas such as captive management and corporate insurance. What You'll Do

• Assisting the risk team in the management of: insurance evidence (i.e. letters or certificates of insurance), auto identification cards and invoicing/payment management
• Responsible for interpreting insurance policies to assist both the automotive and energy businesses, legal and procurement in the review and negotiation of corporate contracts, with specific focus on the insurance, liability and indemnity and self-insurance clauses
• Consult with various individuals internal and external to the company to keep appraised of any changes in exposures or operations
• Gathering internal data and assisting in the development of: insurance underwriting information, actuarial analyses, audits, etc.
• Assist the risk team in the development of risk management standard operating procedures, development and maintenance of contract templates and participating in training of relevant stakeholders in the insurance terms and contractual commitments
• Claims review and analysis and assisting with the management of third-party claims administrators
• Assisting with the company's surety program

What You'll Bring

• Preferred 5 years' experience in corporate risk management, insurance company or insurance broker environment
• Expert knowledge of commercial insurances which includes, but not limited to: workers compensation, general liability, auto, project/construction insurances and surety
• Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e. Microsoft applications: word, excel, PowerPoint)
• Preferred experience in accounting and insurance claims management
• Preferred Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or BBA in Risk Management and Insurance
