CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Round Rock, Texas (78681) – Central Texas healthcare jobs
• Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) – Surgical nursing
• Assignment Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: Rotating call and weekend shifts required
• Start Date: September 5, 2025
• End Date: December 5, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000-$2050

CVOR Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience, including adult open heart and endovascular procedures
• Proficiency in open and endovascular Triple A surgery; experience assisting with Cath lab cases such as TAVR
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of general operating room (OR) nursing knowledge
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred

CVOR Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and general surgery patients in a busy OR
• Assist with CABG, valve surgeries, aortic surgeries, TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams and adapt to various OR settings
• Participate in rotating call and weekend coverage as part of the surgical team
• Support and mentor new graduate surgical techs and RNs
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and dress code (light blue scrubs provided)
