IT PC Tech II
:
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The Harris Center") is on the hunt for a dedicated IT PC Tech II to join our team. This position provides high level technical support to end-users for the desktop and audio visual environment and ensures that the technical support is provided in a positive, professional and timely manner to the staff of the agency. Individual will configure, diagnose, deploy and troubleshoot various Operating Systems, such as Windows 7 & 10. Provides support for multiple software application platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, O365 and hardware equipment such as desktops, laptops, tablets, multi-function devices, fax machines, scanners, audio, video conferencing equipment and other hardware peripherals. Fundamental knowledge in networking and Active Directory is required. A Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is preferred and 3+ years IT experience is required. Certifications such as A+, Net+, and MCSA-Win10 are a big plus.
Your Role in Action:
- Provides Tier III, service-oriented technical support to Agency and external end-users for Windows 7/10 in a large scale enterprise Windows Active Directory Environment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex software, hardware and connection issues.
- Provides technical support and guidance for audio and visual technologies.
- Performs data backup, restore, migration and manages windows user profiles.
- Coordinates warranty support and repairs with manufacturers for a large variety of hardware peripherals.
- Complies with all Agency policies and procedures. Follows IT SOP's, checklists and other instructions.
- Completes tickets in a timely and professional manner, provides appropriate solutions and efficiently escalates tickets to other IT staff members.
- Provides when needed after hours support including weekends.
- Participates in technical root-cause analysis and in SOP/Break-Fix document writing.
- Provides HelpDesk first call resolution support. Answers phone calls, emails and
creates/resolves tickets using remote software tools.
- Performs other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
Education
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year accredited college or university with a major in the IT or related field, preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years proven experience providing Tier III HelpDesk support in a lead role. Vast experience supporting Win7 & 10 operating systems, Office 365 and various HP hardware platforms in a mid-size network environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of CompTIA A+, Net+, MCSA-Win10 and Active Directory.
- Ability to read and comprehend written material and demonstrate literacy. Ability to communicate in writing.
- Ability to converse with others.
- Ability to perform and comprehend mathematical functions.
- Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a positive, customer friendly manner. Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Ability to technically analyze problems and obtain quick, effective resolutions.
- Ability to provide strong technical documentation related to issue resolution and project implementations.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and self-motivation.
