The Senior Benefits Manage r is a key member of Jacobs HR team responsible for the administration, compliance, and communication of employee benefits and leave programs. This role ensures that all benefits and leave processes are executed accurately and empathetically, aligned with BKF's values.
As the Sr. Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, retirement plans (401(k)), and recognition initiatives. This role ensures programs are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with all applicable laws while aligning with organizational goals and employee needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Total Rewards Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy that supports talent attraction and retention.
- Partner with leadership to align compensation and benefits programs with business objectives.
- Compensation
- Design and maintain salary structures, pay models, and incentive plans.
- Conduct analyses and internal equity reviews; recommend adjustments.
- Benefits & Retirement
- Oversee health, welfare, and wellness programs.
- Administer 401(k) plan, including compliance testing, audits, and vendor management.
- Serve as liaison with retirement plan providers; manage enrollments, loans, and distributions.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulations.
- Vendor & Compliance Management
- Negotiate with vendors for benefits and retirement plans.
- Prepare and file required reports and ensure adherence to federal and state laws.
- Employee Communication
- Lead annual open enrollment and develop communication strategies for total rewards programs.
- Educate employees on benefits and retirement options.
- Leadership
- Manage benefits team and provide guidance on escalated issues.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on budgeting and forecasting for total rewards programs.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- At least 7 years of experience in compensation and benefits management
- At least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of retirement plan administration and compliance
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Master's degree in related field
- A dvanced certification (CEBS, CCP, SHRM-SCP)

143,500.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
175,000.00

Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
The base salary range for this position is $143,500.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
