Located in Dallas, the reimagined space holds deep roots in MML history—it was formerly home to Lou Lambert’s Liberty Pie & Catering, where Larry McGuire began his career over 20 years ago.
The restaurant delivers an approachable yet elevated sushi experience, featuring pristine nigiri, creative rolls, seasonal small plates, and thoughtful beverages—all served with warmth, precision, and care.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven General Manager to lead Neighborhood Sushi. This role is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, overseeing daily operations, guest experience, team development, financial performance, and brand integrity.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of upscale dining, strong business acumen, and an unwavering commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences. Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring outstanding service and guest satisfaction.
Lead, hire, train, and develop a high-performing front- and back-of-house team.
Foster a positive, professional, and growth-oriented workplace culture.
Uphold MML’s standards of hospitality, service, and brand identity.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, labor, cost controls, and profitability.
Partner with culinary leadership to ensure seamless coordination between FOH and BOH.
Support marketing initiatives, programming, and guest engagement efforts.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Build strong relationships within the local community and cultivate a loyal base of regular guests.
Passion for Hospitality: A genuine love for taking care of people and creating memorable experiences.
Leadership: Proven success leading teams in boutique, upscale, or fine-dining environments.
Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and thoughtful communication with guests, teams, and leadership.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&Ls, budgeting, labor management, and cost controls.
Experience: Minimum of three years of progressive restaurant management experience; upscale or chef-driven concepts preferred.
Language Skills: Fluency in English required; Spanish fluency is a plus.
Full-time position with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Regularly required to communicate verbally and hear in a lively setting.
Manual dexterity to handle tools, menus, and equipment.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to heat, cold, and moderate noise levels.
