Order Picker -This position requires familiarity with warehouse management system
(WMS) technologies, including RF scanners and tablets. The primary responsibility of
Order Pickers is to ensure that the items picked and packed for orders are accurate and
free from damage prior to shipping. Order Pickers are expected to meet their daily
picking and packing targets while adhering to health and safety compliance standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

-High School Diploma or GED required.
-1-3 years Warehouse and Shipping experience; 1-2 years forklift driver
experience with fall protection and other material handling equipment.
-Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written, for
safety and inventory management requirements.
-Physical Requirements: The Warehouse Associate must be able to lift
heavy objects up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and bend for extended
periods of time.

Key Responsibilities
- Read delivery tickets or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered,
distributed, or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other
designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to
predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for customer and employee traffic.
- Assemble client orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate
orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method.
- Open skids, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate
computer program.
- Assist in counting physical inventory.
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
- Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Load and unload items from vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from
clients.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
- Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Sweep, dust, and mop.
- Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Wear the proper safety equipment, and maintain professional conduct and attire
required.
- Comply with company policies and procedures for individual and team safety

Skills Needed-
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use picking machines in warehouses and manually pick items
• Knowledge of in-house databases and order tracking software
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work while standing for long hours and consistently lift at least 55 lbs. safely
• Knowledge of warehouse health and safety policies and procedures
• Attention to detail
