Construction Project Manager, Remodels
Tesla has an opportunity for a skilled Construction Manager to join our dynamic Infrastructure Development team. This position focuses on remodels, expansions, and program work for existing Sales, Service, Delivery, Collision, Robotaxi, and Semi facilities across North and South Americas. This person must have a construction background, with project management experience. We are seeking someone with strong skills in planning and executing projects that are both new and existing. This role will be directly managing projects with proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners. This position that requires the flexibility of traveling when needed (up to 60%). What You'll Do Project oversight from real estate hand off through design, construction execution and final handoverCreation of project estimates/budgets and scope outlineConcurrently managing projects through all phases of concept, design, execution, punch listDirect contractor management including safety, cost, schedule, qualityOngoing collaboration with counterparts and clients to ensure seamless project executionProject budget tracking and forecast reporting to management. Project closeout with contractors and AHJCoordination of site inspections with local AHJ and contractors. Contractor invoice review and approval What You'll Bring 5+ years’ experience in Construction & Project managementDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related subject, or equivalent experienceThorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurementExcellent written and spoken English. Must have the ability to discuss technical topics with a variety of audiences – contractors, engineers, and members of various teams within TeslaAbility to identify potential problems and prior to them becoming a larger issue. Understanding of forecast planning and budgetingStrong desire to be a part of a world-class team focused on achieving amazing results.
