Job Description

We are seeking experienced full time or contract based Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to become part of our Houston area team at the Houston & Cypress clinics

The position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, providing treatment plans, prescribing medication therapy, and offering counsel across the lifespan.

Responsibilities:

• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments to patients of all ages, especially children
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other departments (psychology, Substance, Counseling)

• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
• Maintain a customer-oriented approach to meeting patient needs in an expedient manner, involving the family in the plan of care as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• PMHNP Certified with at least one year of experience as PMHNP
• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields advantages
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration and physicians
• Strong leadership skills
• Stress resistant

Job Types: Full-time employee or Staffing Agency Contract Work
