Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Amarillo TX
½ day on Fridays- No weekends or Call We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team full time in Amarillo, TX. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is compassionate and personable, can communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff, someone who has exceptional active listening skills, strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and has excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. We need a PA or NP who is willing to learn and practice with our physicians and take care of patients with rheumatology or arthritis conditions. About us:
Our medical practice was founded almost 30 years ago, with the goal to provide a more comprehensive approach to those in our community suffering from rheumatologic and/or arthritis conditions. We understand that pain affects more than just the injured area, it affects our patient's daily life in almost every way. Duties:
-Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations
-Review patient's medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course
-Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients
-Performs patient exams/consultations.
-Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
-Interprets laboratory and test results
-Diagnosis and treatment/care plan formulation
-Performs joint injections under US guidance (training on performing procedures will be provided)
-Confers with physicians and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care
-Provides health education and counseling
Requirements:
-Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program
-Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner license in TX
-1 year of clinical work experience preferred but we will consider recent graduates
Schedule:
-Monday- Friday (4-1/2 days a week. Monday through Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-12)
-No Weekends
Total Compensation:
-$135k-$150k (Depending on experience)
