Compensation Range: $50-60/hr if in TX $60-70/hr if in VA

Job Description:

This role supports the design, deployment, and automation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud providers using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps best practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Build, update, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure using Terraform

• Configure and manage servers using Ansible playbooks

• Maintain infrastructure code using GitLab repositories and merge requests

• Build and deploy containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes

• Monitor systems, logs, and alerts across multi-tenant cloud environments

• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues

• Design and deploy new cloud services and solutions at scale

• Update legacy codebases to modern cloud standards

• Expand and harden environments in AWS, Azure, and GCP using least-privilege IAM

• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs

• Apply a security-first mindset across all work

• Leverage approved AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform and/or Ansible)

• Experience designing and engineering cloud solutions at scale

• Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege concepts

• Ability to design solutions and clearly explain technical decisions

• CI/CD experience and Git-based workflows

• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar)

• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• U.S. Citizenship only (no dual citizenship)

• Self-starter with strong learning aptitude and adaptability

Nice-to-Haves:

• Networking background (routing, subnetting, troubleshooting)

• Stronger expertise in Azure or GCP

• Bash or PowerShell proficiency

• Mathematics or highly technical degree

• Experience with ServiceNow

• Experience modernizing legacy infrastructure or codebases
