Summary:

Under general supervision of the Safes Supervisor with some direction from the Crew Leader, the Safe Delivery Worker performs a variety of tasks in the general installation and delivery of gun safes purchased from our show room floor.

• Installs, removes, replaces, and delivers heavy safe and/or safes into customer's home or place of business.
• Assists in driving company vehicles, including box truck
• Inspects work in progress and at completion for compliance with applicable policies, procedures, plans, specifications, and standards of quality and safety.
• Completes reports on daily work assignments and activities as required.
• Maintains safety regulations including wearing appropriate clothing and shoes.
• Develops and maintains product knowledge

Other Important Duties:

• May be required to assist in our retail stores during idle times.
• May occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of power and hand tools.
• Knowledge of safe handling techniques of heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Skill in following oral and written communications and directions.
• Skill in planning and organizing materials and supplies necessary to complete work orders or daily assignments.
• Skill in operating assigned equipment, tools and vehicles.
• Skill in resolving customer complaints and concerns.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to follow all of company policies and procedures.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, criminal background check and MVR check.
• Must possess valid State of Texas Drivers License

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed outdoors and indoors
• Daily physical labor that includes extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, entering enclosed spaces, climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, driving a van/box truck, operating other equipment, and other similar physically exerting activities on a daily basis
• May be exposed to moving traffic, extreme weather conditions, heights, confined spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds.
