Position Summary: This position involves overseeing a portfolio of attorneys and client matters, ensuring efficient handling of check deposits and resolving billing issues promptly. The role requires effective collaboration with various departments to address and resolve billing inquiries, disputes, and reissues, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Upholding confidentiality and integrity is crucial, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain portfolio of attorneys and client matters to manage daily check deposits.
- Research billing status to facilitate resolution of issues and to ensure timeliness of approvals and payments.
- Collaborates with other departments to resolve billing inquiries, disputes, reissues and other issues.
- Maintains data integrity of all accounting systems.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Maintains unwavering confidentiality and integrity.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- One to two years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience involving multi-state/multi-business unit entities
- Public accounting experience within a personal injury law firm is a plus
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
Physical Requirements :
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
