JIB Accountant

:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process Non-Operated JIB invoices in Energylink and upload them into DOCVUE and OGsys.
• Prepare Saltwater Disposal accrual and monitor receivables.
• Enter all Lock Box Deposits, ACH, and Wire Transfers for the ServCo bank account into OGsys.
• AR Coordinator - Contact owners with past due balances, maintain collection call/email spreadsheet, and update AR Aged Explanation worksheet.
• Process general cash
• Process manual A/R adjustments as needed.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Review and resolve invoice disputes.
• Assist working interest owners concerning questions about billings.
• Reconcile accounts for Balance Sheet review.
• Reimburse over-paid AR amounts to owners.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Experience with COPAS guidelines, OGsys, DocVue, and Energylink is a plus. Five to 10 years of professional experience in oil and gas industry

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of oil and gas accounting and terminology, extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. Also, the individual should have a working knowledge of OGSYS or other oil and gas accounting software as well as Energylink experience.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Flex-40 work schedule with half-day Fridays.

Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
