Staff Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
- Lead engineering design and execution for large-scale data center and mission-critical facility projects.
- Develop and review electrical system designs, including:
- Medium- and low-voltage power distribution
- Backup power systems (generators, UPS systems)
- Switchgear, substations, and distribution equipment
- Grounding and lightning protection systems
- Lighting and control systems
- Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, civil, and construction teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Perform technical analyses, equipment selection, load calculations, and system studies.
- Review drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Support construction administration, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Participate in client meetings and serve as a technical subject matter expert.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8-15+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience delivering large-scale industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems, backup power infrastructure, and electrical design standards.
- Experience with engineering design software and power system analysis tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable industry standards.
- Experience with EPC, consulting engineering, or owner-side project delivery environments.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience.
