About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with our client, a high‑volume specialty medical practice, to hire two Medical Schedulers. This team is looking for individuals who are organized, patient‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical setting.
Job Description:
The Medical Scheduler will manage patient scheduling, handle heavy phone traffic, and support daily administrative operations. This role requires strong communication skills, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to multitask while delivering excellent service to patients and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate appointments for office visits, diagnostic testing, and procedures.
- Manage multiple incoming phone lines and assist patients with scheduling needs.
- Process and schedule incoming referrals from outside providers.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date provider calendars.
- Enter patient information into the EMR system with a high level of accuracy.
- Provide customer support through phone and email communication.
- Assist with high patient volume while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
- Participate in hands‑on training and shadowing with the team lead.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or call center environment.
- Experience using an EMR system; EClinicalWorks (ECW) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and word‑processing tools.
- Ability to handle verbal and written patient requests.

- Schedule:
- Mon–Thurs: 8 AM–5 PM
- Fri: 8 AM–12 PM (working lunch; optional clock‑out requires making up time)
- Work Environment: Onsite
- Location: Dallas, TX (Central Expressway area)
- Systems Used: EClinicalWorks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Interview Process: One onsite interview; afternoons preferred
- Hiring Urgency: High‑priority due to recent vacancy
