Responsibilities
- Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices, troubleshoot and maintain systems to support quality management programs for all procedures.
- Confer with physicians to determine appropriate procedures; document all laboratory operations, including receipt/disposition of radioactive materials, QC data, patient procedures, and medical records.
- Exercise professional judgment during scheduled examinations to ensure compliance with established guidelines and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve work processes and patient and internal customer satisfaction; participate in implementing process improvements.
- Provide clinical instructions for radiology students and residents to ensure staff are informed about relevant radiologic information.
- Maintain interdepartmental cooperation through positive relationships with co-workers, physicians, nurses, residents, and patients; stay current with applicable rules and guidelines affecting nuclear medicine.

Requirements
- Active Texas Medical Board Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) license (permanent or temporary)
- Current ARRT (N) or CNMT certification, or certification within 6 months of hire
- 24 months minimum Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Siemens and Spectrum Imaging experience highly preferred
- Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections, start IVs, and operate Gamma cameras (including SPECT/CT and PET/CT), nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment
- Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments and EKG for cardiac studies
- Resume required; two supervisory references within the last year
- Documentation: ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications; proof of taxable address; ability to provide required documents upon submission
