• Weekly Salary Range: $1350-$1380

Travel RN Job Details – Austin, Texas

• Location: Austin, TX 78705 – top destination for Texas nursing jobs with renowned food, music, and outdoor activities
• Facility Setting: Acute Hospital, 3rd Floor – Newborn Nursery Unit (40 beds)
• Assignment Length: 12-week travel nurse contract
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: November 25, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), rotating weekends, no on-call
• Hours per Week: 36
• Team Environment: Collaborative, team-oriented staff of approximately 40 healthcare professionals
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Electronic Medical Record: CPN and Meditech

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Newborn Nursery, Mother-Baby, or neonatal nursing
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Preferred: 2+ years of newborn nursery or mother-baby RN experience

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to newborns in a 40-bed nursery unit
• Monitor, assess, and document newborn care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Educate and support new parents on newborn care, safety, and best practices
• Assist with newborn procedures, including circumcisions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with standardized order sets, unit policies, and clinical guidelines
