Insurance Quality Assurance Associate
Quality Assurance is a vital component of JPMorgan's first line of defense. In this role you will support Business stakeholders by delivering Quality Assurance results to influence decisions related to areas of unmitigated risk. The initiatives guided by Quality Assurance results directly increase the safety and soundness of the bank.
In this role as a Quality Associate you will reside within Commercial Banking Control Management Organization where you will execute and deliver quality assurance reviews of firm-wide compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act. You will be responsible for managing your own book of work to ensure timely and accurate completion of reviews.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act
- Communicate and document gaps in compliance with Flood Disaster Protection Act
- Provide credible challenge to senior business partners & Support internal and external Flood Quality Assurance reporting
- Cross-train team members on processes and complexities of lines of business and sub-lines of business supported
- Escalate issues identified with reviews, scorecards, and technology systems
- Provide ongoing recommendations for improvements by incorporating emerging and key business risks
- Support regulatory exam and Audit requests related to the Commercial Bank Flood Quality Assurance Program
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities :
- 5 or more years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, commercial lending, or Flood insurance
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with business and functional experts to provide guidance and to recognize risks and gaps
- Excellent organizational and time management skills - ability to remain flexible and productive through shifting priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to achieve deadlines and deliver quality results and meet tight deadlines within a team environment
- Self-motivated and confident decision-maker with the ability to demonstrate leadership and move process improvement forward
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
- Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output to justify decision making
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Knowledge of Commercial Banking sub-lines of business, and functional areas
- Experience in Commercial Lending including loan originations and servicing
- High level of professionalism and sense of urgency
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
